Satel alarm systems capabilities
01 April 2023
When designing an alarm system, it is worth taking advantage of its additional capabilities.
Modern Satel alarm control panels have the functions of controlling other devices - heating or lighting, preventing unexpected situations, e.g. flooding or gas leakage. They can be a part of a smart home.
The basic element of the alarm system are motion sensors installed inside the protected rooms.
Depending on the specifics of a given room, we use PIR or dual - PIR + microwave sensors.
Is it enough?
In our opinion, no.
An alarm system based solely on this solution allows you to detect an intruder who is already inside the protected facility.
By finding out about the alarm via the application on your smartphone or through the Security Agency, gives the intruder time, which is part of the break-in plan.
A few or several minutes required for your or the Security Agency's reaction allows the intruder to cause damage.
So what should a well-designed alarm system include?
It should enable the fastest possible response to an alarm and minimize potential losses that may be caused by an intruder.
Surely, your alarm system should have contactrons - detectors that will react to opening a window, door, garage or entrance gate.
Another type of sensors that can be used are shock sensors - vibration detectors, which are mounted on the window frame, door or garage door.
They will detect shocks or vibrations accompanying an attempt to break in by force, e.g. by hitting, kicking or using a crowbar.
We can also use glass-break sensors.
External sensors are crucial as well.
They make it possible to detect an intruder before he breaks into the protected facility or damages its external elements, such as doors, windows, gates.
This also applies to items left outside the property.
The alarm is triggered at the moment of intrusion into the protected area, extending the reaction time on your part or the Security Agency.
Thanks to the use of flood sensor, the system will detect a water leak and trigger an alarm. It will also provide information to you or the Security Agency.
Is it enough?
When you don't react quickly enough, unfortunately, after your arrival at the facility, you may find a view that none of us would like to see.
Thanks to this solution, you will be sure that the water will not flood your home or office until you return and fix whatever the problem is that caused the leak.
The same applies to gas and carbon monoxide detectors.
If you heat your home or business with a gas furnace, thanks to the use of the above-mentioned detectors and a gas solenoid valve, you will be sure that your health and life are protected.
Smoke detectors will detect a fire - this gives you time to react.
We can also equip your system with a sedative gas detector.
From simple control of devices connected to the alarm system, to creating various types of scenarios using sensors and triggers.
The use of modern, touch keypads, communication modules, thanks to which you can remotely control your alarm system and devices connected to it, gives a wide spectrum of possibilities.
It is worth planning your alarm system in a thoughtful way.
We offer individual projects tailored to the specific needs of our customers.

Basics
The basic task of the alarm system is to protect your home or company belongings, i.e. to detect the presence of unwanted people in a given place.Motion detection - which sensors do i need?
A well-designed alarm system consists of various types of sensors that react in an appropriate way at various stages to an attempt to intrude into a guarded facility. The basic element of the alarm system are motion sensors installed inside the protected rooms.
Depending on the specifics of a given room, we use PIR or dual - PIR + microwave sensors.

Protection of property and even your life
The alarm system can protect not only your property, but also protect you against flooding, gas leakage or escaping carbon monoxide, and warn against fire. Thanks to the use of flood sensor, the system will detect a water leak and trigger an alarm. It will also provide information to you or the Security Agency.

Automation components protecting property and life
A perfect complement to such a solution is the installation of a water solenoid valve which, when a leak is detected, will close the water supply to the house. Thanks to this solution, you will be sure that the water will not flood your home or office until you return and fix whatever the problem is that caused the leak.
